Hungarian organizations in Brazil

The Hungarian Charitable Society of Brazil (Associação Beneficente 30 de Setembro, 1926) provides cultural support to emigrant waves and to Hungarians in Brazil. Its goal is to help the elderly. The Charitable Society maintains the Care Center and the Hungarian House. It is also its objective to preserve Hungarian culture.

Pedro Balázs Center for the Elderly (Care Center) (1961) It is maintained by the Charitable Society. Originally they looked after Hungarian elders, however, today it is open to the whole society. They organize different social and cultural programs for the inmates in order to facilitate their days and support their social integration. In order to maintain the Center, the Hungarian Charitable Society of Brazil organizes the Hungarian Ball of São Paulo every year.

The Hungarian House (1984), or in another name, the Association of Hungarian Organizations in São Paulo, is an organization that includes most of the Hungarian institutions. Currently it is composed of 12 organizations, for example the Zrínyi Artistic Association that goes back decades, the Pántlika Dance Association, the Hungarian Scout Community of Brazil that is part of the South American Section of the Hungarian Scout Federation, and the Könyves Kálmán Free University.
